If Carlsberg made trackdays they'd have a serious problem trying to beat this.... 2 full days and an evening for £170 For those amongst you who are solo riders, I'm pleased to announce that the 14th Ixion @ Cadwell bookings are now open to all-comers. This is a particularly good one for newcomers or the not so confident trackdayers, it won't be full of BSB riders on their day off testing new bits or club riders going ballistic. Information can be found at http://ruffle.me.uk/cadwell, from where there's also a link to the booking system. Where?: Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire When?: Thursday 23rd & Friday 24th September (two full days plus a Thursday evening session) How much?: £170 for the 2.5 days The downside?: No sidecars permitted Camping can be done at the circuit for £5 per night, otherwise Louth is the nearest town with facilities. Tiggers (fast) group is nearly fully booked, but lots of spaces in the Piglets (middle) and Eeyores (relaxed) groups. For those of you who haven't tried a trackday before, I can assure you this is one of the best environments. Very friendly, and free Ixie instructors if required. There are a whole host of bike-types booked already, from the ubiquitous R1s, to a Laverda, RS250, SV650S, Various Ducati, an RC8R (that I'd like to see!), 400s... All you need is a bike, a full road licence, and one-piece or two-piece zip-together leathers, helmet, boots and gloves. If you're lacking a bike, then LadySnoots are arranging them for the Ixies who are currently bike-less. They've been providing bikes for Ixion @ Cadwell for the last 3 or 4 years, and we've been very happy with both their bikes and the service they provide. Hubby and I won't be going this year <sob> as it's term time and my son will be living with us, plus I'm saving all my pennies for sidecars at the moment. It'll be the first Cadwell I've missed since I started riding, and for Flymo I think he's been to all bar 2. Any questions, please feel free to pm InkyAnn on the forum here, or contact Russell (the organiser) via the link above. InkyAnn |
