The seventh annual Road Racing Legends fund raising event was held on February 17 at the Wynnstay Hotel in Oswestry, North Shropshire. The theme this year was TT Magic and was due to include a star guest line-up of Ryan Farquhar, Jenny Tinmouth, Ian Hutchinson, and Guy Martin plus a special half time appearance of John McGuinness, the host for the evening to be RRL patron Jamie Whitham.

F2 and F1 sidecars open races for 6th/7th April Bishopscourt and 9th April at Kirkistown.
Visiting riders get free entry for both meetings with prize money paid out per race.
6th April 2 practices and 1 race Bishopscourt
7th April 2 races Bishopscourt
9th April 2 practices and 2 races Kirkistown

 With the 2012 season fast approaching the work behind the scenes to get the team to the grid is continuing at a hectic pace, changes to the bike for the new season have been completed and this week sees the machine go for a shake down and tuning on the dyno. Meanwhile away from the machine the riding line up for 2012 has been confirmed, once again Craig will be riding the bike while a change of passenger has had to take place.

 Double TT winner Cameron Donald has confirmed that he'll be contesting the new Lightweight TT in June this year.
The Isle of Man TT will be the only event where Donald will race in the class and the 34-year old will ride a high-spec ER6 Kawasaki for Mick Charnock's DC Coldplaning team in the 3-lap Lightweight TT, which will take place on the final Friday of race week.

We've just been informed by Pat that there are now 23 Teams registered plus wild cards entered for the first round of the British F2 Championship, Snetterton March 17/18.
See the Derby Phoenix update below for more info of the weekend including the 5 club races. That's going to be a lot of racing! |

 I had an email yesterday from Jane who runs the RKB website. In it she mentioned that the teams details page was not quite complete.
Have a look at the Teams Details page here, if your details or pics are missing could you please help Jane out and click read more for her email address, send her something so she can finish populating the page. Thank you!
I found a couple of links on there to add to our own F1 teams links page that I didn't have on here already.
Kershaw Racing, Steve Kershaw and Robin Wilson has been added.

 If you like Classic Sidecars, or any sidecars between 10 and 80 years old it would seem, you will find some great pics on 'Classic Sidecar Pics' facebook group.
The group is growing rapidly as is the collection of pics, they're up to nearly 400 photos already between the numerous members. |

 I know it is still a month away but I thought I would post this now to give you a chance to work on your fitness. Derby Phoenix's five race format went down well with all last year and the club intend to follow the same format for club races this year where possible.
